Weekly Tennis Sessions
We coach Tennis from the Mansfield Tennis Club. All participants must be members of the club to support the club and have insurance.
The Hot Shots program is a great way to introduce children to tennis as they learn important motor skills through the fun and games of the beginner tennis program. The program starts with Red Balls, then Orange, Green and finally Yellow.
Once a child progresses from the Red Ball Hot Shots program they can join the Saturday Junior Competition. We coach weekday training sessions for the Red, Orange, Green and Yellow Ball levels.

Red Ball Hot Shots
Where
Mansfield Tennis Club, 55 Curia St.

Term 1 & 4
Monday- 5-5:30pm
Wednesday- 5-5:30pm
We can add additional sessions at 5:30pm based on demand.
Level
Red Ball (5-9yrs old)
All students will be graded as the program goes. All classes have a maximum of 8 students.
What
Red Ball lessons are for beginners, once the participants graduate from these lessons the child can participate in the Saturday Junior Competition and Monday & Wednesday Orange Ball Coaching.

Total cost for term 4 2026 is $160
Registrations open in September with first sessions October; Monday 5th and Wednesday 7th.
Orange Ball Hot Shots
Where

Term 1 & 4
Monday- 5:30-6pm
Wednesday- 5:30-6pm
We can add additional sessions at 6pm based on demand.
Level
Orange Ball (7-12yrs old)
All students will be graded as the program goes. All classes have a maximum of 6 students.
What
Orange Ball lessons are for players that have been promoted from Red Ball. In some cases if someone starts tennis a bit later e.g 10-12yrs old and has good enough hand-eye coordination they can skip the Red Ball level.

Green and Yellow Ball
Where
Mansfield Tennis Club, 55 Curia St.
When
Monday & Wednesdays 3:45pm-5pm. Players are welcome to continue hitting after 5pm but this is unsupervised from the coach.
Level
Green & Yellow Ball (8-18yrs old)
We use the 6 courts for all levels, with a maximum of 24 participants.
What
This is an introduction to squad training with each session focusing on a specific component of tennis each week. We encourage any parents to come help with the Ball machine and other tasks.
This session is important for the improvement of all players participating in the Saturday Junior Competition and other tennis tournaments. It also helps prepare our Secondary aged players for the adult competition.
These sessions run all year in line with the school term dates and cost $16 per session but people are welcome to pay $20 casually.
Term 3 2026 is $160 for 1 or $320 for both (please register for both separately if doing both).

What
Getting a private lesson can make all the difference in your game. It can be a once off lesson or regular booking.
To arrange a lesson give Liam a call to discuss what you’re after and together we will make a plan.
Lesson costs
1hr lesson $100
10 x 1hr lesson $900
These prices can be for 1-4 people.
Coaching Programs
How it works
Liam coaches athletes of all ages and abilities in running, cycling, swimming, kayaking and tennis. This can also involve writing a training program to follow.
To get started we do a Coaching Consultation (1hr $100) to go over all aspects of training, competing, goals etc.
The Vigor Silver and Gold Memberships include an online training program on Training Peaks. This can be very useful to manage training load, short and long term planning.
Coaching costs
Silver membership $1000 per year.
Gold membership $1600 per year.
